The Jerry Way — 30 Days/29 Nights
Jerry with wife and child had never been to China before, and with 30days
felt he could handle sightseeing at his own pace. We arranged the basic
infrastructures for him — all 3 star hotels, mostly train travel within China, meeting services in each city, plus going down the Yangtze on a Chinese
boat (extremely limited English spoken on board). They had a wonderful time.
Day 1: Arrive Shanghai
Our guide will meet you and transfer you to hotel. You have 5 days/4 nights
to explore Shanghai on your own. your own. Accomodations at Zhao An Hotel
with breakfast.
Day 5: Shanghai to Hangzhou (B)
This is by train # K823 that leaves Shanghai at 10:13am and arrives Hangzhou
at 12:29pm. Acommmodations at Hangzhou Zhongshan Hotel. Round trip transfers
are provided.
Day 6: Hangzhou (B)
Free to explore Hangzhou on own. Hotel: Zhongshan Hotel.
Day 7: Hangzhou to Suzhou (B)
Round trip transfers to train station for train to Suzhuo for train #K804
(departs at 9:05am and arrives Suzhui at 12:28pm). Hotel: Suzhou Nanlin
Hotel.
Day 8: Suzhou (B)
Free to explore Suzhou on own. Hotel: Suzhou Nanlin Hotel.
Day 9: Suzhou to Nanjing (B)
Round trip transfers to train station for train T722 to Nanjing. (departs at
9:41am, arrives at 11:44am). Hotel: Nanjing Hotel
Day 10: Nanjing to Beijing (B)
Free in the day. Transfer to train station for overnight train to Beijing.
Train leaves at 8:46pm
Day 11: Arrive Beijing
Train arrives at 6.30am. Transfer to hotel. 4 nights to explore Beijing on
your own. Ammondation at Rainbow hotel with breakfasts daily.
Day 15: Beijing to Xian (B)
Free in day, and transfer to train station for overnight train to Xian. Train
leaves at 5:10pm.
Day 16: Arrival into Xian (B)
Train arrives Xian at 6:45am. Transfer to hotel. Three nights to explore Xian on
your own. Accommodate at Xian Bell Tower with breakfasts daily.
Day 19: Xian - Chongqing - Boat for Yangtze (B)
Transfer to airport for China Northwest 2521 (departs 9:45a, and arrives
11:00am to Chongqing. Boat departs at 7.00pm. The guide will pick you up from
airport, take you to the dock to get the boat tickets.Then you are free to
spend some time in Chongqing till it is time to get back on the boat. (please
verify with guide by what time you should board the boat. — it is your
responsibility to get to dock on time before boat departs).
Days 20 & 21: On Board Boat (B)
All meals and off shore excursions are optionals.
Day 22: Arrival into Wuhan (B)
Boat arrives into Wuhan at 10.30pm. Our guide will transfer you to Xunlimen
Hotel.
Day 23: Wuhan to Guilin (B)
Free day in Wuhan. Round trip transfers to airport for China Southern 334
(departs at 8:20pm, and arrives at 9:30pm. Hotel : Guilin Fubo Hotel.
Day 24: Guilin (B)
Free day. Hotel: Guilin Fubo Hotel.
Day 25: Guilin - Yangshuo (B)
Cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Hotel: Yangshuo Lijiang Hotel.
Days 26 & 27: Yangshuo (B)
Free to explore Yangshuo on own. Hotel: Yangshuo Lijiang Hotel.
Day 28: Yangshuo - Guilin - home (B)
Transfer to airport.
Rates include:
- All transfers, flights, trains, boats within China.
- Hotel accommodations with breakfasts as listed.
- Yangtze River Cruise on Chinese boat (no meals, no tours, no frills
included).
